Expert Review

Introduction

We perform an expert review with at least two usability experts. The review starts with a client interview in which the following background information is established: technological and business constraints, industry practices, brand imperatives, stakeholder objectives and target user group(s). Next, we construct a number of realistic usage scenarios in cooperation with the client. Finally, we assess the software based on the background information, the usage scenarios, and current usability guidelines and conventions.

Deliverable of the expert review

1. Description and justification of the expert review method and used guidelines.
2. Review of and commentary on usability issues (such as site navigation, menu structures, and search and order mechanisms).
3. Table with current usability bottlenecks and high level recommendations for improvement.

Costs

A typical expert review is performed within 1 to 4 weeks and is performed by at least two of our usability-experts. Costs are usually between EUR 5K and EUR 20K, depending on the size of the application or website, and the required detail of the output.
